Completed during my tenure at Karin Payson architecture + design, the Bayview Branch Library is a 9,000-square-foot civic project located in San Francisco, designed in collaboration with Thomas Hacker Architects.
The new building replaces a 1960s structure to better serve the Bayview community with updated infrastructure and contemporary spatial needs. A central courtyard brings light and air into the collections, while sustainable features—including a vegetated roof, photovoltaics, and permeable paving—serve both functional and educational purposes.
My role included architectural and interior design support, LEED coordination, and construction-phase services. The project achieved LEED Gold certification and was awarded the Kirby Ward Fitzpatrick Prize by the San Francisco Architectural Foundation.
